Barrel & Seed (Valdas Oil) is a small, family-run oil press in England. We select the seeds and nuts ourselves, press our oils and carefully prepare every order. We believe you should know what goes into your oil, how it is pressed and the people who make it.

While you browse our range, our seeds and nuts are still waiting to be pressed. We begin only when we receive your order. That is where your oil’s journey starts — here at our family workshop, on its way to your home.
We do not buy finished oils from other producers or keep stocks of pre-pressed oil. Every bottle is prepared for the person who ordered it, making freshness the foundation of everything we do.
We press your oil and dispatch it on the day of pressing or the following day. You receive a bottle of freshly pressed oil, made just a few days earlier, especially for your order.
Traditionally barrel-pressed, in small batches.
We use a traditional barrel-pressing method, slowly extracting the oil through pressure, with no added heat and no direct contact with metal during pressing. We work patiently, giving each batch the time it needs.
From selecting the seeds to preparing your bottle, we take care of every step ourselves.

Our oils remain just as they are pressed, with the natural flavour, distinctive aroma and colour of the seeds or nuts they come from.
We do not refine them or add flavourings, colourings or preservatives. We value what nature provides. Each oil has its own character, from mild and delicate to rich and full-flavoured.
